LED Wash Lights With DMX Connections

Many wash lights come with DMX connections which allow them to be used as part of an existing DMX setup. This allows multiple fixtures to be synchronised and perform the same effects, colours or shows.

From tucking a wash light into the side of a scenic element on stage to bathing great pillars in a rainbow of colors, wash lights are a close partner to any event designer.

DMX Connections

DMX connections are essential to LED wash lights as they allow them to be integrated into larger lighting systems. Using the Art-Net protocol, DMX lighting equipment is able to communicate with one another via an Ethernet network. This allows for remote control and advanced programming from a single location.

Whether you’re looking to upgrade your home lighting or need to set up an event space, dmx wall controllers offer a simple way of making real-time adjustments. Typically featuring knobs, buttons or touchscreens, these types of controllers make it easy to switch between different lighting settings for a variety of scenes and events.

Most of the wash lights in our range feature DMX functionality, allowing them to be connected to a lighting rig. This allows them to be programmed to change colour or fade in and out at a pre-determined time, ideal for stage productions.

The majority of these LED wash lights also have master/slave modes which means they can be controlled individually or in groups. You can even synchronise multiple lights by setting one as a master and the rest as slaves. This allows you to achieve impressive lighting shows without the need for external DMX hardware or software. Simply link up the fixtures with DMX cables and choose the mode you want them to run in.

Master/Slave Synchronisation

Many of the LED wall washers in our range come with DMX connections. This allows you to link them to a larger lighting rig to control them in unison with other fixtures. This gives Theater spot lights you the ability to programme your lights to perform specific custom effects and colours at a set time. This is especially useful for stage performances, as it can keep the wash lights in sync with the performance and help convey the theme.

Master/slave synchronisation works in the same way as DMX, with one fixture acting as the master and controlling other compatible fixtures in a daisy-chain (Light 1 Out to Light 2 In, Light 2 Out to Light 3 In). This feature is ideal for simpler setups as you can save on running extra DMX cabling between each fixture. You can also choose to use a number of automated/sound-activated modes with this system, perfect for mobile entertainers.

There are a variety of different types of LED wash light, each suited to different applications and settings. Wash lights are typically used in theatrical productions for broad illumination, concerts to add colour and atmosphere, or in architectural applications to highlight a building or landscape. However, they are also popular for nightclubs and events, as they can provide a versatile backdrop to create a dynamic visual display. Each type of wash light offers unique benefits, from movement to colour mixing, so it’s important to choose the right one for your needs.

Wireless Uplighters

Battery-powered wireless LED uplights are a game changer, allowing you to highlight architectural features of your venue without the need for wires. They enable location flexibility where power connections are not available and also enable a great effect when uplighting around the dance floor or stage. They can also be used to create a dramatic entrance for your guests, lighting the doorway with a wash of colour. You can set the colors using the on-board digital display, and once saved, the lights will ‘remember’ the color even when unplugged. This allows for quick setup and takedown of your rental.

Weatherproof

Whether you’re looking to highlight your building walls, add an inviting ambiance to your home or business, or simply brighten up the area around your stage, outdoor wash lights are a versatile and affordable option. They’re also weatherproof, meaning they’re suitable for damp locations like outdoor gazebos and patios. Just make sure to use a model with an IP rating of 65 or higher to prevent water splashes and submersion.

While par cans are perhaps the most stereotypically known wash light type, they’re far from the only ones. Other types include purpose-built fixtures designed for lighting larger spaces, such as bars. These units offer the eye-candy benefits of pars 3 in 1 moving head light but with much wider beam dispersal. They’re ideal for DJs who need to fill large venues and can control lighting segments individually.
